10 Manchester Restaurants Opening New in 2025
There’s always something comforting about those classic homemade favourites (or the treats back at grandmum’s), but let’s face it—hectic work days often have most of us busy bees dashing to restaurants and takeaway spots because of the sheer efficiency of doing so.
As business and cultural scenes worldwide continue to evolve, so do the restaurants. And with all the hard work you’re doing, it’s okay to reward yourself with a new dining experience from time to time.
So, to help you in that endeavour, we’ve laced up our boots and pottered around the most smashing new and soon-to-open eateries to see what’s currently in store for us, hungry Mancunians.
Read on and discover what’s cooking in the newest Manchester kitchens this 2025!

Soho House Manchester is one of the most anticipated members-only social clubs in this part of the UK. It’s set to open in the earlier part of 2025, though there’s no official word yet on the exact date when that will be.
Despite this uncertainty, there’s still plenty to look forward to in this posh spot.

The Pyramid in Stockport (by the M60) has stood empty since 2018, but that’s about to change. Construction is underway to transform the site into Royal Nawaab’s Manchester branch, with completion expected in early 2025.
Like its two other branches in London, Royal Nawaab Manchester promises a lavish dining experience. Thanks to the Pyramid’s massive floor space, the restaurant will span three levels and accommodate up to 1,500 guests.
It’s a brilliant choice not just for its famous banquets (buffet) but also for a variety of events where a lot of people are going to attend.
Pro tip:
Planning a special celebration that you think needs a space like the Royal Nawaab Manchester? You can now secure your booking well in advance—even before the Pyramid officially opens.

The Japanese phrase ‘chotto matte’ means something along the lines of ‘please wait a moment’, but for the upcoming restaurant of the same name atop St Michael’s in Jackson’s Row, the momentary wait is almost over.
Expect sophisticated Japanese-Peruvian (also called Nikkei) cuisine served al fresco against the backdrop of Manchester’s skyline. With a sprawling 20,000-square-foot (about 2,000-square-metre) space, Chotto Matte will offer plenty of room to dine in style.
With St Michaels also posed to house offices and other businesses, Chotto Matte is poised to become a go-to spot for post-work socialising.

The Cut & Craft restaurant and bar’s Manchester branch will open on 28 April 2025, and expectations for its quality are high.
Our hopes are up for this new spot on Mosley Street, with its offering of premium Aberdeen Angus steaks and elegant interiors that still feel very warm and welcoming.
Interestingly, the Cut & Craft Manchester is housed in a former bank, so expect a grand, spacious setting, complete with towering classical pillars.
While the final menu remains under wraps, there’s every reason to believe that dining here will be worth every quid.
Pro tip:
Head over to the Cut & Craft Manchester’s website or OpenTable page and book those tables, pronto! However, since ‘D-Day’ is very close, your best bet is to let the initial hype mellow for a bit and book for a much later date.

London’s beloved delicatessen and restaurant, Lina Stores, is opening its first branch outside the capital—in the heart of Manchester. By spring 2025, the shop and its signature teal blue colour will brighten up Quay Street.
While the final menu hasn’t been revealed, there’s hope for some Mancunian-exclusive dishes. In the meantime, we’re already eager to indulge in Lina Stores’ iconic salsa de funghi (pasta with a homemade mushroom sauce) or the mozzarella panini.
What a splendid way to get this famous Italian grub without the long trip to London. We can’t wait!
Pro tip:
When you finally get to visit Lina Stores upon its opening, don’t leave without trying the tiramisu. As the custom goes, it’s the ultimate dessert to complete an Italian dining experience!
STACK Manchester

Address: 103 Oxford Rd, M1 7ED (formerly Hatch)
Contact details: [email protected]
Operating hours: TBD
Pricing: ££
Website
STACK Manchester is an upcoming shipping container food park and events space, set to replace the much-loved (and similarly styled business) Hatch along Oxford Road. With eight other successful locations across England, STACK shows no signs of slowing down its growth.
Each STACK is known for its diverse host of food vendors, buzzing weekend events, and ample seating—perfect for families, groups of friends, or lively dates. The Mancunian STACK will span two floors.
While it’s scheduled to open in 2025, an exact date hasn’t been announced yet as of this writing. Nevertheless, we’re sure that it’ll be a popular spot, given its prime location near the city’s universities.
Pro tip:
If you’re new or pretty unfamiliar to the area, don’t be surprised—STACK Manchester sits right under a flyover, which conveniently provides a ‘roof’ over most of the venue.
BRUK
Media from BRUK
Address: 8 Little Underbank, Stockport
Contact details: 07497 258 325
Operating hours:
- Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday – 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
- Friday and Saturday – 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Monday and Tuesday – CLOSED
Pricing: £
The newly opened bar, BRUK, might be a fiery red colour on the outside, but it isn’t a sight for sore eyes. It’s quickly becoming one of the best spots in Stockport (and Greater Manchester) for catching up-and-coming music acts and joining wine tasting sessions.
Inside, the colour contrast from the entrance is very striking. The white minimalist decor creates a clean, open space highly suitable for the bar’s lively events. While most gatherings are standing-room-only, that’s just part of the BRUK experience.
Nevertheless, expect banging booze and bar grub while here—have a good time, mate!
Pro tip:
Wine tastings are BRUK’s most popular events, but these only happen a few days per month (for now). Be sure to book your slot in advance—ask the till or register online!

Website
Coopers Pantry is a recently opened, family-owned deli in Urmston. It offers essentials to locals like bread, drinks, meats, cheeses, and other pantry staples.
Since its launch, Coopers has become an interesting addition to cosy breakfast spots in town because of its hearty breakfast choices—many of its customers like the sandwiches and hot chocolate a lot.
While there are still some operational hiccups on some days—like the occasional inventory gap and a menu that’s too short (for most people’s liking, including ours) that can be sorted in coming days—the deli is still a welcome addition to the local community.
Pro tip:
Treat yourself to a croissant for a delightful pick-me-up. We’re especially addicted to the Eton mess and pistachio-flavoured ones—these are must-tries!
Crüst Pizza Co. (Crüst MCR)
Media from Crust Pizza Co.
Address: Unit 6B, Waterloo Works, Gorsey Mount St, Stockport
Contact details: [email protected]
Operating hours:
- Wednesday to Friday – 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday – 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Monday and Tuesday – CLOSED
Crüst MCR is one of Stockport’s newest pizzerias, having opened just a few months ago. With a mission to serve the best Neapolitan pizzas in the area, it’s already well on its way to smashing that goal.
As it’s tucked away in an industrial area, Crüst MCR isn’t a traditional restaurant but more of a hole-in-a-wall pickup spot. That’s not a bad thing, though, because the setup helps a lot in making sure your pizza orders arrive hot and fast!
For a classic choice, you can’t ever go wrong with the Margherita. But if you’re after a lively kick for the day, the jalapeño pizza will surely accomplish that.
Pro tip:
While Crüst MCR is mainly a takeaway joint, there’s still the option to eat your pizza on-site—it’s a no-frills setup of either munching standing up or seated at the basic foldable chairs. If that isn’t your thing, delivery might be the way to go!
Definitely Maybe Afflecks Manchester
Media from Definitely Maybe Afflecks Manchester
Address: Afflecks, 52 Church St
Contact details: [email protected]
Operating hours:
- Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – 2:00 PM to 12:00 PM
- Thursday – 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Friday – 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM
- Saturday – 12:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Afflecks remains one of the Northern Quarter’s coolest spots. Beyond the quirky shops, the arrival of Definitely Maybe—a new bar—is just dead great (and a new music tour stop, maybe?).
Our Britpop-mad readers will have clocked the reference right away, but for those who still haven’t, ‘Definitely Maybe’ is the title of Oasis’ debut album.
Step inside to get to Oasis wonderland. Band memorabilia and song lyrics deck the walls, while the live music brings back those iconic 90s vibes.
Enjoy a pint or cocktail while soaking up all things Gallagher. The She’s Electric cocktail is giving everyone the proper buzz lately, and we can confirm that it’s an affirmative answer to the question, ‘Can I be electric, too?’
Pro tip:
Got a bit of the rock star in you? Get yourself down at Definitely Maybe on one of its open mic nights, and give it your best shot singing your favourite Oasis tunes.
