What we love most about this branch is it’s located near the city centre and a stone’s throw from Oxford Road Station. Moreover, this shop opens as early as 8:30 am on selected days.

Stepping into the store, we found ourselves greeted by knowledgeable and courteous staff members. They were ready to assist with any query or dilemma, effortlessly guiding us through their selection.

Another plus is their online platform, which reflects their commitment to convenience with their well-organised website. They also offer free delivery for orders exceeding £30 which makes stocking up a breeze without leaving the comfort of your home!

Admittedly, Ryman Stationery’s prices lean towards the higher end compared to nearby competitors. Despite this, we believe that their accessibility and top-notch customer service make them a worthy stop nonetheless. 

WHSmith stood out to us for their wide offering. In fact, they boast one of the most extensive product selections among stationers such as books, electronics, toys, and more.

We believe that they’re a good one-stop shop for those who need to shop for a lot of items. This is especially true since they are nestled within the Arndale Mall.

Aside from their location, they’re also accessible thanks to their extended operating hours that are longer than most similar establishments in the area.

Additionally, they also have an easy-to-navigate website where one can shop without leaving the comforts of their own home. We also commend their delivery services that come for free for orders over £25.

On top of that, give them a big thumbs up for their affordable selection. Plus, for those who are budget-conscious, they also have a regular sales and promotions aisle.

Our visit here was mostly delightful, thanks to the polite staff member who politely assisted us whenever we needed help.

However, we did encounter some complaints from other patrons about other members of the crew who seemed a tad dismissive.

Despite these concerns, we believe that they remain to be a solid choice for those prioritising accessibility and affordability.

Although, the variety of their items was initially overwhelming for us. But we appreciate that they boast a team of helpful staff members ready to guide you through the aisles that provide a smooth shopping experience.

Additionally, we think that navigating their website proves equally stress-free. This is thanks to a well-organised catalogue and a handy search function.

Sadly, they don’t offer free delivery for reaching a certain spend threshold, unlike other establishments in the area. However, they redeem themselves with regular discounts that are perfect for the budget-conscious shopper.

We did encounter a concern regarding their operating hours, as they operate solely on weekdays—quite limiting.

Nonetheless, we commend their strategic location near the Greenside Street stop. They also have ample parking options that ensure ease of access for those who would drop by with a car.

The Works stood out to us as they have firmly established themselves since their inception in 1981! Now, they have an impressive 526 locations spanning the UK and Ireland.

Their most popular branch is the one strategically located at Arndale Shopping Centre. This one’s operational every day and opens earlier compared to other stationers in the area.

We also commend them for their affordability. Upon checking their offerings, we were thrilled to find that they have a vast array of discounted items—perfect if you like a good bargain! 

Sadly, we did encounter some concerns when it comes to their customer service. In our surveys, we noted reports of prolonged wait times and staff preoccupied with personal conversations mar the otherwise pleasant experience.

However, we think that it’s important to note that the staff members were helpful and attentive to us during our visit. 

On top of this, we are happy to share that they have a reliable online shopping experience. This is thanks to their easy-to-navigate website that has an organised catalogue and useful search function.
