Swing by Evelyn’s in the Northern Quarter for a spot of remedy food for your hangover woes. It’s a laid-back destination that serves British brunch favourites and seasonal meals inspired by Pan-Asian and Middle Eastern food.

The menu will take a load off your fuzzy head. You’ll get a taste of healthy meals to aid your body in recovery, like nutrient-rich options. Try the avocado on toast with smoked salmon for a late-morning hangover cure.

You can also have a go at the cold-pressed juices to help your body detoxify and restore those electrolytes. There are orange and green cold-pressed juices, but do remember to drink water, too.

If you plan on having a proper bender on a Saturday, better book a Sunday reservation for Evelyn’s. They only do bookings all day on Sundays, so you’ll be turned away without one.

You can spot some of the best hangover food in Manchester at Northern Soul Grilled Cheese, which is actually the first grilled cheese restaurant in the UK! It serves up exactly what it says: a variety of grilled cheeses for every craving after a night out!

You’ll want to stick to the classic grilled cheese without loads of toppings to make it easy on the tummy. Give The Soul a try, a classic meal made with sourdough bread and their secret 3-cheese blend.

Another option we like is the Tuna Melt for its anti-inflammatory properties, which is made with their own tuna mix, where you can get your omega-3. It’s also composed of white onion and pickled green chillis for added flavours that aren’t too overwhelming.

Pro Tip:

If you have a really bad hangover, avoid the grilled cheese with loads of fillings because it might upset your stomach.

So try the bagel and sourdough sandwiches for food that are easy on the stomach. The Vegan Royale is also a sound choice that will give you the nutrients you need to battle that headache!

Pair your meal with a healthy smoothie that will do wonders, like the Green Goddess that’s made with banana, pineapple, mango, cucumber, spinach, and broccoli.

The best bit is the vegan menu that will give your body what it needs: veggies rich in vitamins and minerals! We prefer the Shrooms Caesar Salad for something healthy and light, while the Mac Attack Burger is a juicy but not greasy option.

If you don’t feel like spending too much, the Eat For £8 already includes a lunch dish and a soda, which comes with a lemonade option to top up your fluids.

If you want to eat more veggies, ask the server which meals are available in vegetarian or vegan options.

When you’re exceptionally ravenous after a crazy night out, the menu will sort you out! Some are priced a bit steep, but they’re packed to the brim with ingredients and flavours! There are burgers, burritos, tacos, and poutine.

The burgers will do the trick! They’re served on a potato brioche bun and come with skin-on fries. There’s a good variety of flavours, like the scrummy Nashville Hot Chicken (our favourite amongst the options), which has chimichurri slaw and Buffalo hot sauce.

Pro Tips:

If you’re with your mates, you should have a look at the sharing platters. They have loads of variety for every food craving.

The menu switches every six to eight weeks. Before popping in, check the website to avoid disappointing your appetite.

A healthy start of the day (even with a late morning) that has the right carbs and healthy fats for hangover recovery is the Healthy Booster Breakfast. It’s composed of scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, roasted tomato, and two slices of toast.

When you’re feeling like crap and would like to eat something light, try the paninis with your choice of bread—it’s available in a bagel, wrap, or ciabatta. The chicken pesto is a good hangover meal for the protein and carbs after a night out on the town.

Remember to get your fruits in by trying out the smoothies! The Green Reviver, made with mango, banana, kale, and lemongrass, is ideal for body recovery during dehydration.

Pop by Chips @ No.8 for a cheeky hangover treat! Nothing beats traditional British food to cure a corker of a headache!

This casual spot in Prestwich makes banging fish and chips fried in beef dripping (the proper way to do it, in our opinion) unless you specifically request vegetable oil. It comes in either haddock or cod.

You can also check out the South Cali’ Tacos, available in smoked tempeh, fish, or beef barbacoa. Have a look at the light bites section on the menu for something easy to digest, although skip the spicy option if you feel rougher than usual.

Pro Tip:

Ask the server what the fish of the day is. If it’s salmon, you can order that one instead due to its healthy fats that can ease the hangover headache.

There’s a bunch of hangover recovery food on the menu, from light to hearty meals that won’t overwhelm your tummy. There are loads of vegan options as well for skipping greasy, meaty options.

Eggs on sourdough bread is a solid meal when you’re feeling rough after heavy drinking. It’s easy on the tummy and has the nutrients your body needs—and you can have it any style you need!

Although, the Vegan Full will keep you sated without it feeling like too much food. It comes with sourdough, hash brown, smashed avocado, tomato, spinach, beans, and chickpea salad.

Pro Tip:

Note that the menu is different on Sundays. If you’re swinging by on a Sunday, look at the roast salmon for something rich in antioxidants.

Caravan is a stunning, chill restaurant in Manchester, where you’ll be getting all-day dining with loads of tasty meals that can make you feel good while nursing a hangover. The menu consists of grains, sourdough pizza, and meaty plates.

Sourdough pizza is a satisfying choice for the morning when you’re feeling rough. The one with tomato, mozzarella, and basil is a lighter option that’s not as tough to digest as the other flavours.

The hot smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast is another light hangover food, which you can find on the brunch menu. But if you’re needing something really light, the cereal bowls will give you the energy to recover.

Pro Tip:

Order a juice from the brunch menu to replenish the electrolytes you lost after a night of drinking.
